The RF detector is based on the Analog Devices AD8318 chip. It is designed with a power supply voltage regulator that enhances detection accuracy against official specifications. The operating frequency range is 1-8000MHz. It can detect RF signals from -65 to +5dBm and converts them to DC voltage. The output represents the detected signal strength (in dBm, logarithmically detected), with the RF signal converted to a DC voltage output. The amplitude or power of the RF signal corresponds to the output voltage. Signal strength indication such as RSSI, spectrum analyzer, gain control, etc., is possible.
