DW-03 Supercapacitor Handheld Spot Welder for Batteries and Battery Packs

This handheld spot welder is perfect for connecting new battery cells with original flex cables and for creating new cells from Li-Ion batteries. Simply place a new steel strip on the battery and connect the welding terminals side by side.

Unlike traditional battery spot welders that may overload capacitors, the DW-03 provides stable performance even at 0V voltage. A pair of supercapacitors (Farad) achieves a discharge voltage of 5.4V, significantly enhancing discharge performance and instantaneous current.

Unlike typical commercial bench spot welders that use heavy transformers and need to be plugged into a power grid, the DW-03 can be powered by a standard 12V source or battery for outdoor use.

The powerful section contains MOS transistors rated at 300A, with a total rated current of 2400A and supercapacitors with a capacity of 3000F.

The control section with a color LCD display allows users to adjust pulse duration, pulse power, and charging voltage as needed. Voltage can be monitored with an accuracy of 0.01V, and users can also track the number of welds performed.

Easy spot welding of 0.2-0.3mm nickel-plated materials with minimal heating is ideal for high performance and efficiency.

Easy welding with adjustable power

Welding wire with a cross-section of 16 mm2 and automatically adjustable welding gives users the flexibility to easily repair 0.2 mm pure nickel and 0.3 mm nickel-plated materials with high-quality connections.

On the clear control panel, it is possible to change the power for different material thicknesses:

• 0.1mm (power 1-10)
• 0.12mm (power 10-20)
• 0.15mm (power 20-40)
• 0.2mm (power 40-60)
• 0.3mm (power 90-110)

Welding pins for crimping copper tubes
Copper tubes are simple and effective for connections with low resistance. Avoid brass fittings as they have high internal resistance and significantly limit performance.

Instructions for Use

1. Before first use, the device needs to be charged for 20 minutes, after which spot welding can be performed when the voltage reaches 5V-5.3 V. Additional charging only takes a few minutes after 3-4 days.
2. Inexperienced users should start from low power and gradually increase as needed.
3. During spot welding, it is crucial to keep the tip pressed firmly against the nickel sheet.
4. After disconnecting from the power source, it is normal for the display to show 6 V.
5. Welding work is not recommended after the power is turned off.
6. For longer device lifespan, there is no need to discharge the capacitor; simply turn off the main switch and store it in a dry environment.
