Cable filters for cable applications are made of a unique plastic casing to ensure simple and convenient installation. They come equipped with a self-locking mechanism that prevents the slipping of wires. The ZCAT series features a ferrite core that provides excellent absorption of high-frequency EMC. They are highly effective as a countermeasure against common-mode EMC without adversely affecting signal quality, and have a large core size that prevents saturation at high signal currents.

Split Ferrite Cores
These split ferrite cores reduce electromagnetic interference caused by or emanating from data and power cables. High levels of attenuation are achieved due to the design of the casing and special processing steps during ferrite manufacturing. A special locking mechanism ensures that the ferrite casing is suitable for use with various cable diameters and cannot be accidentally opened once the split ferrite type is secured. The outer casing is designed to protect the halves of the core from breaking and ensures easy mounting on cables that are already installed or that have connectors. Attachment with glue or cable ties is optional. Typical applications for these split ferrite cores include data or electrical lines used in computer technology, terminals, industrial controllers, medical machinery, and office machinery.
