LipoShield - Intelligent Lithium Fuse for Aircraft

LipoShield is a low-voltage fuse that enables any ESC to be used with lithium batteries. It easily installs between the receiver and the ESC, providing reliable soft disconnection at 3.0 V per cell to prevent damage and over-discharge of expensive LiPo packs.

LipoShield is a soft fuse suitable for any aircraft, including 3D types. The soft disconnection gradually reduces motor power, allowing for controlled landings.

When you notice the aircraft gradually slowing down, it's time to make an adjustment. The fuse can be reset by bringing it down to zero and then increasing it back up. This allows for improved performance, preventing emergency landings and long walks to retrieve your aircraft.

LipoShield automatically detects the number of lithium cells in the battery pack upon power-up and sets the appropriate voltage cutoff. It then continuously displays the detected number of cells by flashing the "Cells" LED indicator. LipoShield works whether you are using a BEC built into the ESC, a standalone BEC like the ParkBEC, or even a receiver pack.

LipoShield uses a microcontroller to adjust the throttle signal sent from the receiver to the speed control. As a result, it works well with older ESCs that do not have lithium fuse settings as well as with new ESCs featuring reliable fuses. It can even function in combination with another soft fuse built into the speed controller.

LipoShield works well with both DC and AC ESCs.
