The LOCOSYS LS2003C-G is a standalone GNSS module with a smart antenna that includes integrated antennas and circuitry for GNSS signal reception. This model can simultaneously acquire and track various satellite constellations including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, and SBAS, providing low power consumption and very compact dimensions. Consequently, it achieves excellent sensitivity and performance even in urban and densely forested areas.

The modules support hybrid ephemeris prediction for a quicker cold start. The automatically generated ephemeris prediction (EASY) does not require network assistance and can be valid for up to 3 days; it is automatically updated upon module power-up and satellite availability. Another option is the server-generated ephemeris prediction (EPO), which is valid for up to 14 days. Both predictions are stored in onboard flash memory, allowing for a cold start in under 15 seconds.

Installation is simple and does not require an RF connector and coaxial cable typically needed for separate GNSS antennas. This reduces costs and dimensions while speeding up time-to-market by eliminating the need for compatibility and stability between the antenna and module. The LS2003C-G module can be powered directly by a lithium battery without the need for external voltage regulators. It is small and delivers excellent performance, making it ideal for integration into ultra-thin devices.
