Mendocino Motor - Solar Magnetic Levitating Motor MM-01
Solar Magnetic Levitating Motor - Mendocino Motor
The Mendocino motor is a levitating electromagnetic motor powered by solar energy.
How does the Mendocino motor work? For the electromotor to function, direct sunlight is required. The motor is mainly powered by four monocrystalline solar cells. Each of these cells generates electricity when it is in the upper position – when it is illuminated by sunlight.
The solar panels then direct the electrical energy to the coil. This coil, with electromagnetic properties, becomes magnetic and is attracted to the permanent magnet at the base. As a result, the rotor spins repeatedly, allowing for the alternation of the individual panels.
The speed of the rotor's rotation varies with the intensity of the incoming light. The brighter the light to which it is exposed, the faster it will spin.
