MPLAB PICkit 5 - Debugger and Programmer for PIC/dsPIC
MPLAB PICkit 5 - Debugger and Programmer for PIC/dsPIC
Debugger and Programmer, MPLAB PICkit 5, for PIC/dsPIC - Original
MPLAB® PICkit™ 5 circuit debugger/programmer allows for rapid prototyping and portable programming for all Microchip devices, including PIC® microcontrollers, dsPIC® digital signal controllers, AVR® and SAM devices, and Arm® Cortex® based microprocessors. It works in conjunction with the MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE), providing a powerful and user-friendly graphical interface (GUI) for debugging and programming. Alternatively, the MPLAB PICkit 5 can be used standalone with the MPLAB Programmer-to-Go (PTG) mobile application, which allows for connection to the device via smartphone using Bluetooth®. With programming features accessible from your smartphone, the MPLAB PICkit 5 is a versatile tool that enables prototyping and debugging solutions, and then the option to disconnect the device and transport it to the deployment site in the field.
MPLAB PICkit 5 supports a wide range of interfaces, including four-wire JTAG and Serial Wire Debug (SWD) with streaming UART Virtual Comm Port (VCP). With the adapter board (AC102015), standard connectors for JTAG, SWD, ICSP, and AVR protocols can be utilized. Thanks to the unique Programmer-to-Go feature, the PICkit 5 can be powered directly from the target board, programming the default image by pressing a button hidden under the logo. You can also connect via Bluetooth using the MPLAB PTG mobile application, browse the micro SD™ card installed in the tool for another image, and start programming the target board directly from the app.
Note: PICkit 5 is compatible with MPLAB X IDE version 6.10 and newer. Download now.
