Nooelec NESDR SMArt v5 Premium RTL-SDR features an aluminum enclosure, 0.5PPM TCXO, SMA input, and comes with 3 antennas. It is based on the RTL2832U and R820T2.

This premium RTL-SDR is designed developed and manufactured by Nooelec in the USA and Canada for a wide range of desired elements.

SDR Enhancements:

• The NESDR SMArt includes the same ultra-low phase noise 0.5PPM TCXO used in our much smaller Nano 2+, ensuring perfect tuning stability in almost any environment.
• To reduce noise, the voltage source section has been redesigned with an RF-friendly voltage regulator with noise levels below 10 µVRMS.
• A quality shielded inductor has been used in the power supply to improve EMI resilience.
• Polished aluminum enclosure ensures that EMI stays away from sensitive RF circuit systems.
• Lower board temperatures further improve the noise level in SDR.

Thermal Enhancements:

• Custom-designed heatsink is connected to the primary PCB to dissipate heat away from the circuit board.
• 2 pieces of silicone thermal pads dissipate the remaining heat away from the sensitive areas of the device.
• Power consumption has been reduced to an average of 10mA, producing less heat compared to other designs.
• These changes were first simulated and then tested with Flir E8.

Form Factor Enhancements:

• The NESDR SMArt has been designed to minimize USB port occlusion. The SDR has been completely redesigned to ensure side-by-side compatibility with any USB-supporting devices.
• The revamped design allows for a more versatile SMA antenna input.

Antenna Enhancements:

• The antenna is mounted on a wider base to ensure physical stability.
• Stronger magnet in the antenna base allows for a wide range of mounting options.
• Power cable RG58 low loss replaces higher loss cables.
• Power cable extended to 2m for easy installation.
• External SMA connector on the antenna cable ensures easy connection to NESDR SMArt.
• Includes three antenna masts: telescoping mast, 433MHz, and UHF.
