The OrangePi 5 MAX utilizes an octa-core 64-bit Rockchip RK3588 processor with four Cortex-A76 cores (2.4 GHz), four Cortex-A55 cores (1.8 GHz), and an independent NEON coprocessor. With an 8nm manufacturing process, it achieves a maximum frequency of up to 2.4 GHz. It features integrated ARM Mali-G610 graphics with a built-in 3D GPU, compatible with OpenGL ES 1.1/2.0/3.2, OpenCL 2.2, and Vulkan 1.2.
The built-in NPU supports hybrid INT4/INT8/INT16/FP16 computing with a performance of up to 6 TOPS, making it efficient for edge computing and smart end devices. It offers 4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM, supports image processing up to 8K resolution, and is equipped with an eMMC slot and onboard eMMC storage (one of these options). It includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 with BLE support.
The OrangePi 5 MAX provides a wide array of interfaces, including HDMI output, GPIO connector, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, 3.5mm audio jack, one 2.5G high-speed PCIe LAN port, and one M.2 M-Key slot (PCIe 3.0 4-Lane) for installing NVMe or SATA SSDs.
Due to its compact dimensions (PCB 89 mm × 57 mm × 1.6 mm) and high performance, the OrangePi 5 MAX can be widely used in high-end tablets, edge computing, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, AR/VR, smart security, smart home applications, and various other AIoT fields.
The OrangePi 5 MAX supports multiple operating systems, including OrangePi OS (Droid), OrangePi OS (Arch), OrangePi OS (OH), Ubuntu, Debian, and Android 13.
