This powerful (200 nanosecond instruction execution) and easily programmable (only 35 simple instructions) CMOS FLASH-based 8-bit microprocessor utilizes the advanced PIC® architecture from Microchip in an 18-pin package and is backward compatible with PIC16F628, PIC16C62XA, PIC16C5X, and PIC12CXXX devices. The PIC16F628A offers an internal oscillator with a frequency of 4MHz, 128 bytes of EEPROM memory, capture/compare/PWM functions, USART, 2 comparators, and a programmable reference voltage, making it ideal for applications in analog/level integration in automotive, industrial, appliance, and consumer applications.
