The Proxmark 3 Easy was designed and manufactured by Elechouse, the creators of Proxmark 3 RDV 2. It was created as a more affordable version of the Proxmark 3 RDV 2, primarily for home markets in China via TaoBao. It was developed as a lower-cost, less powerful offshoot of the RDV 2.

Its lower price is reflected in its reduced performance:

• Less powerful microcontroller: AT91SAM7S256 (smaller 512kb memory)
• Removed lithium battery management and socket
• Removed relay
• Removed amplifier

Due to these hardware changes, the Proxmark 3 Easy is unable to perform some of the more demanding Proxmark functions, including Mifare Hard-Nested attacks.
