The Raspberry Pi 8MP Camera Module V2.1 can be used for recording HD video and taking photographs. It works with all Raspberry Pi models that have a camera CSI port and can be accessed through the MMAL and V4L APIs. It supports the unofficial Picamera Python libraries.
