Rock Pi Model A
What is ROCK Pi
ROCK PI is a single-board computer (SBC) in an ultra-small form factor that offers top-notch performance while utilizing excellent mechanical compatibility. ROCK PI provides developers, IoT enthusiasts, hobbyists, DIY PC enthusiasts, and other users with a reliable and extremely powerful platform to build and transform their ideas into reality.
ROCK Pi 4 is a single-board computer based on the Rock chip RK3399 from Radxa. It can run on Android and some versions of Linux. ROCK Pi 4 features a six-core ARM processor, 64-bit dual-channel 3200Mb/s LPDDR4, up to 4K@60 HDMI, MIPI DSI, MIPI CSI, 3.5mm jack with microphone, 802.11 ac WIFI, Bluetooth 5.0, USB port, GbE LAN, a 40-pin GPIO header, and RTC. ROCK Pi 4 also supports USB PD and QC power supplies.
ROCK Pi 4 comes in two models, Model A without WiFi/Bluetooth and Model B with WiFi and Bluetooth, each model available in 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB RAM options.
Top-notch Performance
ROCK Pi is powered by a modern and powerful six-core ARM RK3399 processor that delivers significantly improved performance compared to other popular single-board computers. All models are equipped with LPDDR4 3200Mb/s RAM and optional high-performance eMMC modules that enhance all applications.
User-friendly, IoT Connectivity
ROCK Pi includes user-friendly expansion options such as a 40-pin GPIO interface, which allows connection with a wide range of inputs from buttons, switches, sensors, LEDs, and many more.
ROCK Pi also contains GbE LAN for networks with suitable connectivity and drivers. It works seamlessly with the vast majority of network applications. The board's 802.11 ac WiFi provides 2.4G&5G WLAN connections. With Bluetooth 5.0, ROCK Pi gains improved Bluetooth speed and greater range.
ROCK Pi features one USB 3.0 host and one USB 3.0 OTG port, each capable of 5Gbps, operating independently. USB 3.0 OTG can function as a USB device like Android ADB or USB devices. A hardware switch is available for toggling OTG modes.
AI Capabilities
ROCK Pi supports mainstream AI packages with GPU acceleration. Additionally, ROCK Pi will feature a special hardware NPU accelerator that enhances complex machine learning algorithms while reducing power consumption. The industry-standard MIPI CSI connector simplifies connecting cameras to ROCK Pi, and ROCK Pi also supports industry-standard MIPI DSI for LCD and touchscreen displays. The hardware-accelerated algorithm is excellent for applications in computer vision, robotics, and many other fields.
