RTD PT100 Temperature Sensor - 1m M6 with Thread and Teflon Cable
High-quality Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) with sensors imported from Germany.
Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) are generally among the most accurate temperature sensors available on the market. In addition to offering very good accuracy, they also provide great stability and repeatability. They are commonly used in laboratory and industrial processes, where they have gained a good reputation for their accuracy, repeatability, and stability.
RTDs offer several advantages:
- Wide temperature range (approximately from -200 to 850 °C)
- Good accuracy (better than thermocouples)
- Good interchangeability
- Long-term stability with a temperature range up to 850 °C, making RTDs suitable for industrial processes where high temperatures are achieved. They are highly stable during metal production, such as platinum, and are resistant to corrosion and oxidation.
The DIN/IEC 60751 standard requires RTDs to have an electrical resistance of 100.00 Ω at 0 °C and a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of 0.00385 Ω/Ω/°C between 0 and 100 °C. IEC60751 specifies four different resistance tolerances for thin film RTDs:
- Class C = ± (0.6 + 0.1*t)°C or 100.00 ± 0.24 Ω at 0°C (-50 to 600°C)
- Class B = ± (0.3 + 0.005*t)°C or 100.00 ± 0.12 Ω at 0°C (-50 to 500°C)
- Class A = ± (0.15 + 0.002*t)°C or 100.0 ± 0.06 Ω at 0°C (-30 to 350°C)
- Class AA (originally 1/3B) = ± (0.1 + 0.0017*t)°C or 100.0 ± 0.04 Ω at 0°C (0 to 150°C)
