Sipeed Longan Nano - RISC-V GD32VF103CBT6 Development Board with LCD Display
The Sipeed Longan Nano is a development board based on the GD32VF103CBT6 MCU with a RISC-V 32-bit core from GigaDevice. It is ideal for students, engineers, and tech enthusiasts who want to familiarize themselves with next-generation RISC-V processors. The Longan Nano, distributed by Seeed, comes with a 0.96-inch 160x80 IPS RGB LCD and a transparent acrylic case.
The GD32VF103CBT6 is based on the Bumblebee core from Nuclei technology. It supports the RV32IMAC instruction set and the ECLIC fast interrupt function. The core consumes only 1/3 of the power compared to traditional Cortex-M3 cores.
The Longan Nano development board features a dual-row pin layout with a pin spacing of 700 mils, allowing for direct insertion into breadboards. It includes an 8M passive crystal oscillator, a 32.768 KHz RTC low-speed crystal oscillator, a Mini TF slot, and a USB Type-C interface.
The Longan Nano supports various programming methods: USB DFU programming, UART ISP programming, and JTAG programming. In USB DFU programming mode, you only need a USB Type-C cable to upload a program to the board. The Longan Nano also supports a standard JTAG interface, which can be debugged online using a RISC-V debugger or any JTAG-compatible debugger, such as J-Link.
Sipeed has adapted the PlatformIO IDE for the Longan Nano development board, enabling visual development on various platforms such as Windows/Linux:
