Speed Controller for AC Motors - SCR 220V/4kW

Our SCR voltage regulators provide reliable, economical, and compact control of AC motor speeds!

These variable AC voltage regulators are designed specifically for vibrating feeders, fans, pumps, and other devices. All models feature a single-phase AC input and fully variable AC output.

SCR regulators adjust the output AC voltage similar to how a ceiling fan or a light dimmer would operate. These regulators are suitable for single-phase AC motors, allowing them to change speed. They can also be used with resistive loads, such as lighting.

It is important to note that these regulators DO NOT WORK with motors that have a capacitive start, which are commonly used in single-phase applications. Capacitive start motors are not designed to operate at varying speeds. These motors typically have a large capacitor located on the top or side, which prevents any attempts to slow down.

Dimming CFLs, LED lights, and other electronic devices is not possible!

Motors that can have their speed controlled with SCR regulators include motors with a permanently connected capacitor, permanent split phase, shaded pole, and universal motors. These applications may have certain limitations. SCR regulators can control most motors of small household appliances and handheld electric tools.

The SCR regulator does not offer a wide range for speed control - regulation typically occurs in the upper half of the adjustment range. It may be necessary to boost the regulator's power to start the motor operation.

How to choose the right regulator:

For pure resistive loads, multiply the operating current by three. Example: (2.2kW/220V) * 3 = 30, a suitable model will be 40A+

For inductive loads (motors), multiply the operating current by five. Example: (5kW/220V) * 5 = 22, a suitable model will be 113A+
