FNIRSI WD-01: Smart Wall Scanner and Metal Detector

WD-01 is an intelligent metal and object detector for walls.

FNIRSI WD-01 intelligently detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals, live wires, and wooden structures within walls with a three-level sensitivity setting for more accurate measurements. It can be used to detect steel rods, metal beams, metal pipes, wood, and live wires in walls, ceilings, and floors. There are 3 detection modes: metal detection, wood detection, and AC detection.

• The detector defaults to "metal detection" mode upon turning on. At this moment, a signal appears on the display if there is no interference from metals, indicating the need for calibration.
• Calibration method: Place the detector in an environment without metals and strong magnetic field interference (e.g., lift the detector into the air). Press and hold the "Metal/Cable Detection" button again until the signal on the display returns to zero and a green light illuminates. Release the button; calibration is complete.
• When detecting metallic objects, press the metal detection button to enter metal detection state. At this moment, a metal detection pattern will appear on the display and the green indicator light will turn on.
• Place the detector on the surface of the object and move it left or right in the same horizontal direction. As the device approaches a metallic object, the signal strength on the display will gradually increase. At the same time, the intensity percentage will also gradually increase.
• As you slowly move the device away from the object, the signal strength will gradually decrease, along with the intensity.
• When the program determines that the signal received by the device has reached its maximum, it indicates that the metallic object is directly beneath the detector's center. An icon displaying the center will appear on the display.
• When detecting metallic material, the detector's yellow or red indicator light will illuminate.
• If both metallic material and AC signal are detected, the red indicator light will flash, and the detector will emit continuous beeping sounds.
• When the detector displays the symbol for non-ferrous metals, it means the currently measured object is generally a wire or copper pipe.
• If it shows the symbol for ferrous metal, the currently measured object is generally a steel rod.
• If the detector shows no symbol for ferrous or non-ferrous metal, it indicates the currently measured object is generally an alloy.
• If the AC symbol flashes on the device, it means an AC signal is nearby.
• During metal detection, the depth value displayed on the screen is synchronized with the detection operation. The accuracy of the depth value relates to the shape and material of the measured metal, the configuration of the measurement object relative to the detector, and the properties of the surrounding medium of the measured object.
