The WD-02 is an intelligent metal and object detector designed for use within walls.

FNIRSI WD-02 is an intelligent detector for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, live wires, and wooden structures within walls, featuring a three-level sensitivity setting for more accurate measurements. It can be utilized to detect steel rods, metal beams, metallic pipes, wood, and live wires in walls, ceilings, and floors. There are three detection modes available: metal detection, wood detection, and AC detection.

• By default, the detector will enter the "metal detection" mode upon power on. At this point, a signal will appear on the display if metals are interfering. It will alert that calibration is required.
• Calibration method: Place the detector in an environment free of metal and strong magnetic field interference (e.g., lift the detector into the air, etc.). Press and hold the "Metal/Cable Detection" button until the display signal returns to zero and the green light turns on. At this point, release the button, and calibration is complete.
• For metal detection: Pressing the metal detection button will switch to metal detection mode. At this point, a metal detection pattern will appear on the display, and the green light will illuminate.
• Place the detector on the object's surface and move the device left or right in the same horizontal direction. As the device gets closer to the metal object, the signal strength on the display will gradually increase. Simultaneously, the intensity percentage will also gradually increase.
• As the device slowly moves away from the object, the signal strength will gradually decrease, and the intensity will also decrease.
• When the program determines that the signal received by the device has reached its maximum, it indicates that the metal object is just beneath the center of the detector. The center icon (Center) will be displayed on the screen.
• When detecting metal materials, the yellow or red indicator light of the detector will illuminate.
• If both metal materials and alternating current signals are detected simultaneously, the red indicator light will flash, and the detector will continuously beep.
• When the detector displays a non-magnetic metal symbol, it indicates that the currently measured item is generally a wire or copper pipe.
• If the detector displays a magnetic metal symbol, it indicates that the currently measured item is generally a steel rod.
• If the detector does not display a magnetic or non-magnetic metal symbol, it means that the currently measured item is generally an alloy.
• When the AC symbol flashes on the device, it indicates that an alternating current signal is nearby.
• During metal detection, the displayed value of detection depth on the screen is synchronized with the detection operation. The accuracy of the depth value relates to the shape and material of the measured metal, the distribution of the measured object relative to the detector, and the characteristics of the medium surrounding the measured object, etc.
