SAWbird GOES - Premium Dual Ultra-Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) 1688MHz
The SAWbird GOES is a high-performance self-contained LNA module designed for receiving NOAA GOES satellite weather images at 1.688 GHz. With dual ultra-low-noise amplifiers and a custom-designed SAW filter, it provides exceptional selectivity with very high attenuation outside of the 80 MHz bandpass and at least 20 dB gain within the band.
Encased in an EMI shield for maximum stability, the SAWbird GOES offers flexible powering options: via bias-tee (3–5 V DC) through the SMA port, microUSB, or a 0.1" header (3.3–5.5 V DC). Its low current draw (30 mA) makes it ideal for continuous operation with SDR receivers such as NESDR SMArTee XTR or HackRF.
Perfect for amateur radio enthusiasts, satellite hobbyists, and educational projects, this compact LNA module ensures stable, low-noise reception of GOES satellite signals.
