HC-SR501 PIR Motion Detector Module

The HC-SR501 PIR sensor allows movement detection based on infrared radiation. The sensor detects change through two separate IR windows, and an amplifier converts the signal pulse to a logical level - active state.

On the board, there are 2 potentiometers marked as Sx and Tx.
Tx - sets the sensitivity of the detector
Sx - sets the delay - for how long the sensor will test for repeated signals before sending a High signal

Both values affect the resulting alarm signal. The sensor operates in a retriggering mode, meaning that in case of movement detection, the output remains in an active state (High).

The module is suitable for automatic lighting of hallways, bathrooms, warehouses, garages, and other areas, automatic ventilation of exhaust fans and other devices (light bulbs, fluorescent lights, buzzers, automatic doors, electric fans, dryers, and washing machines), especially in businesses, hotels, shopping centers, warehouses, sensitive areas, or security zones. It is also suitable for security purposes.
