The OV5640 camera features a ¼" QSXGA CMOS chip from Omni Vision. It supports up to 5 megapixel (2592 x 1944) images and records video at 720P quality at 30 frames per second. Automatic features include AFC, AWB, AEC, and more.

The focal length of the OV5640 camera is 2.7 mm with an aperture number of F 2.8 and a field of view of 66°. The camera operates on 3 V power supply and can be connected to the NanoPi Duo2 device using a 24-pin FPC cable. These features make it ideal for a wide range of applications, including surveillance systems, smart vehicles, and drones.
